1/30/20 Middle School Coding Students build mobile sound apps with MIT's App Inventor program
On Thursday, January 30, 2020 middle school students worked on using MIT's app inventor program to create sound files. The students creatively used their coding skills to create functional pianos, play famous speeches, and play various instruments.
1/30/20 EHT Aumni Kiersten Jester and Walnut Hiill College presents to Culinary Classes
On Thursday, January 30, 2020 Egg Harbor Township Alumni, Kiersten Jester presented to current EHT culinary students. Kiersten and the college's representative came in to speak to our current Culinary students about the programs at Walnut Hill College as a introduction to CTE month. Kiersten demoed a chocolate truffle recipe with the students.

1/27/20 Academy of Law and Business Students Compete in Consumer Bowl
On Monday, January 27, 2020 Academy of Law and Business students competed in the regional Consumer Bowl competition. The students competed against other NJ area high schools in a competition that tests how knowledgeable they are as consumers. Egg Harbor Township high school's ALAB students came in second place to Cedar Creek high school.
1/4/20 Alder and Fernwood Compete in First Lego League Qualifier
On Saturday, January 4, 2020 Fernwood Avenue and Alder Avenue Middle School Robotics teams participated in the South Jersey regional qualifier for First Lego League at Salem Community College. The students worked really hard to compete the challenges in this years City Shaper competition theme. The Fernwood Middle School team placed first overall of the thirteen teams at the event and will advance to the state competition in February. Congratulations to both teams, who have made great strides in just two short years!
12/11/19 FBLA Students go Behind the Business of Tropicana Casino
On Wednesday, December 11, 2019 Academy of Law and Business seniors visited the Tropicana Casino Marketing department and spoke with VPs from several areas in the industry. The students were given a behind the business tour to learn more about the Marketing and Business strategies in the hotel and casino industry.
11/25/19 FCCLA Students Attend the Fall Leadership Conference
Education and Training students attended the NJ FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference on Monday, November 25th in Edison, NJ. Abigail Coyle, Zoi Tsikouras, Julia Lark and Jessica Kershenblatt received medals for their projects designed around the theme "Action for a Better World". The students attended a keynote session with an inspiring speaker who encouraged them to be the person who takes action and speaks out and they also attended special workshops on how to lead and make a difference.
11/22/19 Education and Training Students Engage in Reading and Writing Activities with Preschool Students
Students in Mrs. Ribinsky's Education and Training class helped the preschool students with the letter O and writing their name. The high school students also read a relevant book with the preschool children to further connect with the letter of the week.
11/22/19 Electrical Technology Students work With Coil and Contract Circuits
As the level of automation evolves in Electrical Technology, students are learning how to incorporate the coil and contact circuit of the electromagnetic relay to control DC motors from low voltage levels applied to the relay switching circuit. The circuits are DC powered with independent power supplies in the control circuit and the geared power circuit. Students learn the small systems using ten (10) to twelve (12) STEM standards with performance rubrics measured in common assessment.
11/12/19 ALAB Freshman Students attend Junior Achievement's Career Success Workshop
On November 12, the Academy of Law and Business Freshmen attended a Junior Achievement event at Stockton University where they participated in personal branding, public speaking and career portfolio workshops. Students dressed in business attire and networked with other high schools from across the state as well as several key leaders in industry and education
11/4/19 Future Business Leaders of America Induction Dinner at Harbor Pines
On Monday, November 4th, the newest members of Egg Harbor Township High School's Future Business Leaders of America were inducted at a wonderful dinner ceremony held at Harbor Pines Golf Club. Student officers and new advisers Ms. Zisa and Mr. Migliore did a wonderful job preparing the students to lead the ceremonies. Returning adviser, Mrs. Kim DeMaggio was in attendance for the event as well.
10/28/19 FBLA J Students Tour Stockton University
On October 28, the Academy of Law and Business Sophomores, Juniors and select Seniors received a personalized tour of Stockton University’s campus and business program. There, they spoke with a business professor and the Director of Admissions to discuss the expectations the college has for its incoming freshmen and the skills and competencies they should be building today to better prepare them for the future.
10/24/19 EHT Students attend Embry Riddle Aviation Presentation and Drone Demo
Students from the Egg Harbor Township high school as well as a few middle school students had the opportunity to be a part of a special presentation by the Embry Riddle Aeronautical School Staff. The students saw a demo of the eBee Drone and the software program used to create the drone missions. This technology is used in agricultural field to support farmers by providing distinct data about the farming land, which can be used as a predictor for trouble areas.
10/23/19 NJ School Boards Conference - Middle School State Team Tank Finalist
This school year, Ms. Zompa hosted two student groups who participated in the STEAM tank competition in Atlantic City, NJ on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Two student groups presented. One group, Krisha and Denise presented an invention for..., while another group presented a. Congratulations to our students and teacher!
10/18/19 Computer Science Students take tour of Google facilities in NYC
Mr. Swift and Mrs. Duff attended a field trip with Computer Science students on Friday, October 18th to the Google headquarters in NYC. The students participated in a Partner Event where they created resumes using Google Docs, followed by a personal tour of the Google NYC facility. The visit concluded with a question and answer period.
10/1/19 Automotive Technology Students Receive Lowes Donation
The Automotive Technology program recently received a donation from Lowes Home Improvement in EHT. Pictured is Lowes Pro Services Representative Mr Jesse Johnson, along with two of Mr. Sauter's Auto Technology III students to accept the donation of 164 AAA batteries to be used in the CTE programs at EHTHS. Mr. Johnson and Lowes Home Improvement continue to support our locally-offered CTE programs and are advocates of secondary CTE educational programs for nationwide. Mr. Sauter graciously appreciates this donation which can used for tools and equipment in many of our CTE programs.
9/24/19 Education and Training students learn more about the seal of biliteracy
Dr. Schreiner spoke to students in Education & Training classes this week about the plethora of jobs available for bilingual educators. She explained the Seal of Biliteracy program that the High School offers and encouraged the students to continue studying a language all through high school so they can graduate with the Seal of Biliteracy and increase their opportunities for finding a job in education

The Egg Harbor Township Middle Schools will roll out a financial literacy curriculum to all 6th, 7th , and 8th grade students DURING the 2019-20 school year.
7/25/19 Middle School Students Blast Off during a Two Week Summer Aviation Program
Twenty-eight Egg Harbor Township Middle School students spent two weeks getting in-depth knowledge and some hands-on experience in the field of aviation. With the assistance of many partners including the Civil Air Patrol, the National Aviation Education Council, FAA's AvSTEM outreach program, Atlantic Cape Community College, and the 177th Fighter Wing, the students were able to get a feel for some of the careers in the field of aviation as well as the skills that are needed to be successful in each of the fields.
7/3/19 FCCLA Earn Silver Award at National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California
Egg Harbor Township High School was a part of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America’s (FCCLA) largest National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California June 30-July 4. Samantha Donnelly and Hayley Duncan from Egg Harbor Township High School participated in one of 40 Family and Consumer Sciences related competitive events offered at NLC, including STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events and the FCCLA/LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl. These events support foundational, leadership, and workplace skills in areas such as advocacy, culinary arts, and entrepreneurship. Their event, Focus on Children, helped develop a new awareness of healthy food choices for the students in our ABC Preschool. Competing with over 5,000 STAR event participants, Samantha and Hayley were awarded a silver medal for their project.
7/23/19 EHT High School STEAM Teacher Participates in Fulbright STEAM Guitar Workshop
Egg Harbor Township High School STEAM Teacher, Joshua Handshaw spent five days in the summer in New York Learning about STEAM principles, design, and music concepts to build a guitar from start to finish through the Fulbright STEM Guitar Project. His students in 2nd and 3rd level classes will be exposed to the project this school year. The grant was applied for and received to purchase kits for students in the Egg Harbor Township High School.

7/3/19 FBLA Students Score Big at National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas
The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference was held June 28–July 2 in San Antonio. Participants from across the United States and abroad attended this exciting conference to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in more than 70 business and business-related competitive events.
Egg Harbor Township High School made history this year by reaching a record high number of projects that qualified for finals. An even greater level of excitement was reached when every single finalist from EHTHS were in the top 10 and placed on the Nationals stage.
Specifically, two groups made Egg Harbor Twp. HS history when Malini Gulati and Mohini Gulati became National Champions with their project being awarded first place, and Shivani Acharya, Nicholas Pennock, and Selena Zheng’s project placing second. This is the first time anybody from EHTHS has placed that high!
